Description
Boss BD-2 Blues Driver Guitar Effects PedalThe BD-2 blues driver delivers the creamy yet crunchy sound associated with great blues guitar. This popular pedal provides instant access to the kind of warm overdrive and emotive distortion usually reserved for 30-year-old tube amps.BOSS Distortion Guitar Pedal, Single Mode (DS-1)Here it is. The 1 stompbox for legions of crunch-craving guitarists all over the planet. This DS-1 distortion pedal is a time-proven mainstay of rock and metal tone, no doubt about it. Three knobs make way for practically every rock sound you've ever heard. If you dig it loud and distorted, you've simply got to have a DS-1 in your rig. And that's that.

Run this through a deluxe and a strat a little diff than the old BD2,like it.I have the original BD-2 and could not wait to see the improvements for the WAZA pedal. It makes me want to try some of the other WAZA pedals. Boss is Best. to quote Josh Scott from JHS which is one of my other favorite pedal companies.I was looking for some light coloration at low gain, but this didn't do the trick. At low gain levels it clips only the attack or loudest part of the signal, leaving the sustaining portion unaffected. It reminds me of the hard clipping you get when you clip a waveform during recording. I kept checking my levels thinking I was in the red, but it's just how the pedal sounds. A really unappealing sound. Not sure if I got a bum unit or whatI actually liked it best as a simple boost with the gain at 0. The eq sounded nice and adds a nice sparkle.Overall it sounded good as a boost with the gain at 0 or heavily overdriven with gain past 1 o'clock, but was missing that middle portion I was looking for.
