I use for fun and sometimes for play my songsI've played better strats, but I've definitely played worse! I'd say that the playability of the guitar matches the medium price range, but that's before taking into consideration the huge possibilities of the built in effects with the super knob! The app is not super intuitive to work with, but damn was I overwhelmed by the possibilities within it! It already comes with a big library of great sounding tones, but the customisation within the app is like working with a proper pedal board, all within the guitar and app itself.I haven't quite discovered all the possibilities within the app yet having only had it for a few days, but I love the fact you can customise each pickup position within the app, the "60s strat" sounds great! It could definitely use a setup and probably some upgrades on some parts as mentioned in other reviews, but for this price you couldn't ask for more! The actual guitar, is built pretty well. The neck is satin and comfortable. The pickups sound okay and the build quality feels good. It will definitely need a new string tree like others have done. The G string needs one and the B and E are way too low.The real problem is with the app. The app is really difficult to use and not labelled well. I could not find how to alter the presets at all which was a big deal for me. The presets they have already are only available from either the app, which is hard to use, or the footswitch, which isn't included. As far as the quality of the presets, they are okay, would be fun for a beginner to play with but definitely not a gigging musician which is what they are claiming. Basically a cheap modeller built in to your guitar with far less capability to change things. Buying a cheaper guitar and a Fender mustang micro headphone amp would be a better alternative. So buyer beware. Also I tried emailing somebody from Mooer and they never responded, so it goes back. Could have been so much better. This guitar needs better tuners, a better bridge, a Reverend 3 string tree and a PLEX treatment at either Sweetwater in Fort Wayne Indiana or Righteous Guitars in Roswell Georgia. I've done the string tree... I'm saving up for the others. The app is confusing, but this concept is very powerful. The guitar as a Stratocaster (without processing) is PHAT and QUACKY like it should be.Sounds great and the integrated tech is awesomeThe guitar sounds interesting, but it's significant that they don't post a single tone or sound. Probably because they suck. I want to HEAR models for sitar, resonator, synth, etc. Competition's models are strikingly good - are these even in the running?!What a pleasant surprise this guitar has been - plays like a strat when you plug it into an amp + the app is fairly user-friendly and presents a variety of tonal options that require tons of amps & pedals otherwise.Charges easily with the supplied power connector, and the directions on downloading + connecting the app are intuitive. I was able to get it working within a few minutes.I dig the way this guitar plays, most of all - and most of all that is the critically important part of this. It's more than a gimmicky app-based thing - although it is a bit heavy, it plays quick & springy, and the tones sound good. Go Mooer! Great job here.
