This is the perfect guitar even for beginners. High quality but not an insane cost!Great guitar, you can trust Yamaha.I'd never played guitar until I bought this one last month, so I can't compare this to others, but it's a great deal for the price. Yamaha quality and consistency are worth the few extra dollars you'll spend over cheap starter guitars. If you're buying this as a gift for a beginner who has nothing, this is probably an awesome deal. If you're buying this for yourself, the extras may not be worth the extra money, unless you're a complete beginner who isn't sure if you'll stay with it, in which case the DVD alone is probably worth it.Concerning the glue issue raised by another reviewer, mine did not have any unsightly extra glue squeezed out from where the neck extends onto the body. Sure, it's evident that glue was used, but only upon extremely up-close inspection.--------PRICEThe guitar alone (Was excited to get this - my “real” guitar is too nice to tote around or lend to friends so wanted a nice reliable but easy-to-wear guitar. Looks great, cute guitar, action looks good…but beware that there is ZERO padding in the box and it is shipped without any additional second box or padding. As a result the bottom edge was damaged (as was the box). I wish they would put this into another box to protect it before shipping!I am a newbie to guitar world when I bought this guitar. I knew nothing about guitar or playing guitar. The first two month, I did not play regularly, because my finger tip is hurting. After that, I start play every single day about 2 or 3 hours. Sometime more, one time I believe I play 6 hours in a day.The first time I ever change string is when the string getting too old and broke itself. That is about 6 months. Around that time I start to notice something is no right, but I cannot tell what exactly that is. Also, my practice time is decrease.About 11 months since I start to play, I know is the crappy sound make me play less and less. I used to play 2-3 hours per day. However, I can only play half hour at this time. After a 15 month, I cannot stand that sound anymore, bought a new guitar.Generally speaking, it is good guitar for a beginner. It has everything (tuner, pick, straps, bag and stay in key very well) you need to start play guitar. The guitar tone, as a newbie, you can’t tell the different anyway. As your ear development, you can hear the different tone between good and great. That is time for your moving on.Overall, this is a guitar for people not sure how much they want to step in to the guitar world, for people has limit budget need a pretty good guitar, and a guitar cheap enough so you can fool around with.I bought this as a present and my daughter loves it.The guitar arrived when promised. It was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition with the strings already in place. The guitar is beautifully finished and of solid construction. I am first time guitar buyer and a beginning player. I've been practicing with it for a couple of weeks and it is still in tune from the first time I tightened the strings. The strings lie close to the fret board making it easy to work on learning chords. So far I couldn't be more pleased with purchasing this beautiful Yamaha guitar.I love it! The sound is excellent, it echoes long after you let the string go. Beautiful, rich sound. Tuner is good, it’s useful while strings are getting used to tension, as they need to be tuned often during first few days.Quality is superbI don’t know what kind of magic is that, but playing F and Bm type of chords is much easier on this one than on cheaper ones I played beforeIf you are beginner, you might want to get nylon strings, or be ready to gradually increase playing time, while your fingers adjustSo I'm writing this from the point of view of someone who plays music and writes songs for a living. I needed a quick and cheap solution for demoing some songs with acoustic guitar at home and, after reading reviews, I took a chance on the Yamaha F325D.Firstly, you need to adjust your expectations on any lower-end acoustic guitars so take that into consideration. Having said that, this is a great value for money. It sounds every bit as good as the more expensive Fender electric-acoustic that I owned for many years. The action is fine, in fact it's great for beginners as it's not set up too high and it comes with a fairly light gauge of strings. Intonation is great all the way up the neck, there's no dead frets and it really does sound nice when it's mic'ed up. Mine arrived with a small crack behind the nut but I suspect that this is cosmetic so I'm not worried about it. Considering it was just shipped in a flimsy cardboard box I'm surprised by how well it held up.All in all this is fantastic value for money for either a beginner's guitar or someone like me who wants something to 'do the job' without spending a lot of cash. If you're considering buying an entry-level acoustic guitar, you're going to have a really hard time doing better than this for the money.Well my 1st order came broken some parts of the body so i returned and order a new one it came just right now and I'm excited to open and cross- finger that nothing is broken but when i open?? the box the hand of the guitar is broken I don't understand...they should be very careful when they deliver this item....i do like this guitar coz its good for a beginner like me but unfortunately for some reason i can't have it. I have to returned again and find some site who's selling a guitar...????This is another solid Yamaha product. I bought this for my 12-year old daughter to learn on during her quarantine time-off from school and she loves it. It looks and sounds great, and so far it has been very durable and holds it's tuning very well. I feel like we got a fantastic instrument that will last her for many years - and for only $200. Great purchase - thank you Yamaha! The Yamaha D325 is probably the best guitar value for the money. It's a great sounding guitar with excellent craftsmanship, finish, and components. Makes an ideal first guitar, however it is also a great guitar for an experienced player. There is nothing low quality about this guitar and in my opinion it is equivalent in quality to much more expensive guitars sold by other manufacturers. Yamaha is a fine brand of musical instrument and this guitar maintains that reputation. Totally happy with this purchase. So this guitar arrived today and my friend who is IMO a very good player, grabbed it from me as soon as I got it out of the box and tuned it up and began playing it. He was very impressed with the sound and after a few off key chords, he had it dialed in and began laying down awesome licks that I thought sounded amazing. His key points were it has nice high frets and no unwanted vibrations and that it will allow me to produce good sounding notes with less finger strength. I am happy with the overall look and finish of this guitar and expect to be enjoying it for a long time until or IF my skill outgrows it, although from what I saw my friend do with this guitar, it may be that the more skilled I become the better this guitar will sound.
