Working guitar playable after strings settle. New strings stretching and settling is normal and expected on any classical guitar. All notes play. No dead frets. Fret ends well trimmed and do not overhang, so smooth playing. Stays in tune. Great value. Perfect for someone who wants to learn to play without committing a lot of money. I am a guitar teacher and also repair instruments. An advanced guitarist will probably sand the saddle for lower action but it’s fine for anyone as is.This guitar is not bad for the price. It's craftmanship reminds me of the stain design of a mediocre cello. The face of the guitar is beautiful . . .while the rest is cheaply made. . . ..I noticed the frets don't protrude from the neck . . .cutting your fingers . . .they did a good job on the frets . . .The saddle I didn't need . . .The action is really high up from the frets . . .I took that out . . .It sounds pretty good . . . .no buzzing . . .I think for the price . . you'll have a nice guitar on hand if you're a beginner . . .Take the saddle out, lower the strings and play! . . .If you get the money try and buy a $350 Cordoba . . .about when you get a little better at playing . . .For now . . .Pumping Nylon is a good book to start with . . .The Classical Guitar Bible is cool . . .. when you get a little better try Carcassi's Classical Guitar Method .. . . .Fernando Sor has a guitar method book . . .but it's hard to find . . .good luck on that . . . .I researched that it was probably because we needed to stretch our strings and that was the reason why it probably did not hold a tune. It was a little frustrating and we ended up returning the set. The bag was not the best quality material. It appeared like it was going to be thicket but it was a really simple zip up bag for the guitar that was good to carry the guitar around but not so much to protect it along the way. It reminded me of a bag to hold sleeping bags with a zipper. The zipper pockets on the bag were great to hold the accessories that came with this set. The tone whistle was an interesting addition to the set. Overall it was a great value for what you get but it did not hold a tune on the guitar so we ended up returning it. The company was great at handling our request.Pros: great beginner setCons: did not hold tune on guitaran excellent guitar. looks great, sounds great, plays great. no issues whatsoever. i've been playing for 41 years, and building guitars for over a year now. folks with tuning issues just don't know what they're doing. And yes it does have 3 nylon strings , and yes they do take a while to finish stretching out - longer than metal strings. The only things i did to this guitar was dress the fret ends slightly, and roll the fretboard edges a bit - neither of which are typically part of a factory setup on an inexpensive ( <$500 ) guitar. The fret ends were in better shape than typically found on inexpensive guitars. The thin classical style frets may have something to do with that. Smaller frets = smaller sharp edges. The guitar I received was an entry level guitar with some rough finish, but not far from a very solid $150 instrument. For only $60. I had to sand down the saddle about 2 mm, but other than that, the guitar was ready for enjoyment out of the box.I got the guitar to have something to play at my parents' house, so several times a year, and I think that the guitar will serve that purpose perfectly without having to spend too much. Finally, I wish this was my first guitar, instead of a really beaten down instrument that I also loved. This guitar is a really nice low budget present or a donation. Beyond expectations.Bought this guitar for my mother who hasn’t played since she was in her 20’s.The guitar seemed to be good quality for the value. On the other hand, the guitar case/bag sent is too small.... the guitar won’t fit inside, and the zipper won’t close — not even a third through. All in all, the only problem was the bag. Won’t be able to use that part.I'm amazed at the sound of this guitar for this price. It has a warm bass sound to it much deeper than my steel string guitar. I read other reviews saying it won't stay in tune. That's true at first, but the more you play it, and re-tune, the less you have to re-tune it. It's the nature of new strings. They're very stretchy at first. Don't take my word for it. Search the internet on the subject! I've been playing it for a week now, and the more I play it, the better it is. I love it.Guitar came quickly within 1 week of ordering it. Sounds great my 13 yr old loves it. However it came without the strap button on the bottom end of the guitar, as shown in my photo so there is no way to attach the strap that came with it. Disappointed with that.
